Hej Copenhagen, London calling
Stop your swatching, put down your nailart pen, and get online for the social event of the year.
This is not a blog chat. It’s not a group challenge. Nor is it a blogger-only event. This Saturday night is the Eurovision Song contest final!
I hear you doubters questioning ‘that cheesy, psuedo-political farce?’. But if anything can unite us all it’s the ability to poke fun at others in a harmless, tongue-in-cheek way. All across Europe people will be tuning in to see the outrageous outfits, hear the original songs and allocate their own ‘douze point’.
The best way to experience this event is through the wonder of social media. You can slate your Slovenian friend, berate your Belgian followers and give those Latvian lovelies a Like on Facebook.
Whilst you’re feeling the love for your fellow Eurozoners, why not connect further? One of the most amazing triumphs of technology is Google Translate. It means we can now read blogs written in other languages with just the click of a button. Not only can I read them on my PC but also through my Android phone; result!
Here I’ve compiled a list of some amazing nail blogs written in languages other than English:
http://www.oneinchnails.se/ – Swedish
http://polishchest.blogspot.co.uk/ – German
http://www.korom-apolas.hu/ – Hungarian
http://neglelakkmani.com/ – Norwegian
http://irishnailaddict.blogspot.co.uk/ – Irish (okay, so this one’s still written in English)
http://polishnailgirl.blogspot.co.uk/ – Italian
http://pshiiit.com/ – French
http://marleahmakeup.blogspot.co.uk/ – Spanish
Why not give them a like, a follow and even comment (they’ll be able to translate it too)
